Sheaves
American Block manufactures True Forged sheaves. They are available in sizes that range from 12" to 120" and grooved to customer specification. The bore can be made to accommodate tapered roller bearings, bronze bushings, snap rings, or to customer specification. We also manufacture sheaves to industry standards such as API 8A or 8C, or DIN, and third party certifications such as ABS or DNV is available upon request. Our sheaves feature normalized forged rings to eliminate cracks, full penetrations welds between the web and hub and each sheave is thermally stress relieved. Also all sheave are flame hardened to a minimum of 35 RC and each bore is concentric to the groove to ensure correct operation.
Traveling Blocks
American Block manufactures a large range of traveling blocks to meet any application or load rating this also include custom engineered block. Our traveling equipment is rated in accordance with the API standards, and proper weight guarantees fast free fall. All traveling equipment has a streamline design to prevent interference with its surroundings. The metallurgy of our traveling equipment is carefully chosen to ensure durability and trouble free service. We also provide blocks with third party certification.
Drilling Hooks
American Block manufactures a complete line of drilling hooks to handle all drilling requirement. The Dynamatic TM is a heavy duty-drilling hook that is available in 7 different models that range from 100 to 750 tons. The Dynamatic TM features a one-piece forged shank, hydraulic snubber, a spring for 8 inches of travel, an eight-position lock and an optional positioner to return the elevator to the correct position for the derrick man. Also our hooks are compatible with all traveling blocks.
Rotary Tables
American Block manufactures a complete line of drilling rotary tables that rage from 17 1/2 to 49 1/2. All rotary tables feature; the frame is completely fabricated and machined to give superior strength, toughness and durability. Each base is completely stress-relived prior to machining. Our spiral bevel gears are precision made using advanced gear cutting technology. The gear teeth are flame hardened to give extreme toughness and are thoroughly inspected prior to assembly to ensure excellent performance throughout the life of the product. Spiral bevel gears provide quieter operation and more torque and higher RPM compared to straight bevel gears. Every design includes a large heavy-duty bearing that support the table for smooth operation. We also provide master bushings and kelly bushings to fit our rotary tables as well as other competitors rotary tables.
American Block can also unitize the rotary table to a motor. Our unitized skid packages features a heavy-duty oilfield skid and transmission. The rugged design ensures that when the equipment is mounted it remains rigid during operation and moving. The transmission features herringbone gears, a shifter lock mechanism and spline clutches. We also offer hydraulic rotary tables and hi torque tables, which are ideally suited for top drive operation.
Swivels
American Block manufactures swivels that are ideal for any drilling application whether it is conventional or top drive drilling. Our swivels range from 200 to 750 tons and designed for harsh drilling conditions and high mud pressure. All swivels feature a one-piece forged bail, a stem to allow re-threading of thread box, a main bearing designed for superior performance and long life, and a long radius gooseneck to minimize flow restrictions.
We also offer a high-pressure gooseneck for the A-500 and A-650, which will upgrade the working pressure to 7500 psi. In addition to our swivel lines we also offer spare parts for competitors swivels.
Mud Pumps
Designed and manufactured by American Block our K-Series mud pumps and are ideally suited for all drilling applications. They range from 800 to 2200 HP and exceed the quality and performance for other mud pump manufactures. For deep drilling performance or maximum efficiency, K-Series pumps provide the best power to weight ratios and the smallest footprint in the industry.
Manufactured for continuous operation at maximum working pressure each pump incorporates; an inherently balanced forged-steel crankshaft to minimize wear, noise and, vibration. Also each pump is fully load tested to ensure quality and performance.
Our pumps are compatible with all major brand fluid end modules as not to increase inventory and all expendable pump parts are off the shelf and readily available worldwide.
